Fire Stick is no an option listed as a device when adding a new service.

I am not getting the firestick as an option when adding a new device. The firestck which is attached to an HDMI converter to USB is recognized by the laptop. Any suggestions? Thanks

If the HDMI/USB adapter is for connecting a display, this will not work.
You must have a capture device.

The fire stick will NOT show up by name in your device list.

It may be that the Firestick requires it to be plugged into an HDCP enabled device (like a TV). It probably sees that it's plugged into a recording/capture device and blocks it from being captured.

My firestick is connected through a video capture card. OBS shows the picture but no audio. Firestick does not show in OBS audio mixer, and no movement on audio mixer coloured bars fo desktop or mic!
