Filter comments

Is there any way to insert a comment in a list of filters for a scene/source?

It took me ages to realise that enabling a filter was actually triggering an Advanced-Scene-Switcher action

Either a comment box within a filter or a 'comment filter' like the SB sub-action

I have to resort to the name of dummy filters

Am i misssing something?
None of the miriad YT tutorials I watch have ever mentioned one

I don't think so.

Is that because you set it up that way? Or is it a bug that needs to be looked into? It's not supposed to do that by default.

I do that with scenes to make a delimiter between sections...and then I use that delimiter scene as a blackout.
Filters are a bit different though, so that technique doesn't quite work as well.

What you might do, is just put the comment in the name of an active filter, with a text delimiter to separate it from the name - like that, or (in parentheses).

Thanks for your feedback
No-there is no bug

I was going back to an old scene collection with a view to tidying it

Part of the original requirement was to take a screenshot of a source at a specific point in the filter chain
The source-screenshot hotkey setting links to the 'current' source
I was put onto Advanced-Scene-Switcher which allows you to trigger a screenshot of a particular source

Hence a comment would have helped me locate what triggered it

I have resorted to adding redundant filters and naming them as a comment
Hardly neat

Move plugin-essential✔️✔️
Advanced-Scene-Switcher has loads of goodies✔️✔️
