So I started recording some test runs because I just downloaded some new video editing software. I noticed the software couldn't find the file and when I went to file explorer the videos aren't there. I made a new folder for OBS to send the recordings too but they don't show up.

As @Banyarola said, check to see if the settings match where you expect the file to go, as far as the log shows, it DID write a file to the path C:\Users\austi\Videos\Youtube\

Thanks for your replies despite the fact that I made 2 folders for the videos and was pretty sure I set the output to one of them but I guess I didn't. Thanks for your help

@Ventis09 ,,, @Harold Is correct, do NOT save directly to MP4, as if there is any problem at all, your video will corrupt and the whole session could be wasted. Instead save as MKV, then use the REMUX feature in OBS to save it as MP4, just go to File and Remux Recordings, select your file, and within a moment it will convert it to MP4 for you :) Boom PROFIT!

Much safer, less headaches, and fast. Psssst: It's free real estate!
