Hello, I've been using OBS for a while and I've noticed some minor faults that I think should be addressed.
Firstly, there doesn't seem to be a way to toggle a filter applied to a source with a keyboard shortcut.
This is a problem because if a user wants to add a reverb effect to their microphone or add a tint to their webcam for example, they either have to keep the effect window for that source constantly open to have access to the effect's toggle, use a third party program, or duplicate whatever source they want to effect and switch between sources manually/with something like a stream deck. This seems unnecessary when an effect toggle window/the ability to use keyboard shortcuts to toggle an effect or multiple effects simultaneously would eliminate the need for such workarounds and reduce the amount of system resources needed.
Secondly, the ability to change Scene Transitions (NOT JUST USE QUICK TRANSITIONS) with a keyboard shortcut or via Stream Deck integration would be greatly appreciated.
I use multiple transitions for different purposes, some are only used switching to or away from a specific scene, while others are for general use, but problems arise whenever I use quick transitions or transition overrides to streamline my workflow.
Whenever a Quick Transition is used in Studio Mode the user's default Scene Transition is automatically set to that Quick Transition, so if a Dip to Black is what is set as the default Scene Transition, and a Dip to White is used as a quick transition in Studio Mode, that Dip to White then become the default transition used even outside of Studio Mode, and the only way to change that is by manually changing Scene Transitions by clicking on the Scene Transition menu or using a Quick Transition in Studio Mode again. I would like the option to not have Quick Transitions automatically change my scene transition, to be able to select my scene transition with a keyboard shortcut, to be able to use Quick Transitions directly from my Stream Deck (not sure if this is where you ask for Stream Deck integration stuff but if it's not please point me in the correct direction), and to have the ability to select a Transition Override not only for switching TO a Scene but for also switching AWAY from it.
Lastly, the ability to "Shy" Scenes/Sources, as well as Group/Color Code Scenes would be very useful as well.
I use a large number of scenes when I stream but some of them are used less than others and some aren't actually switched to at all, they're just used to house effects. Because of this, even though I've organized them it can be a pain to scroll down my list of scenes without much visual feedback. I find it strange that we can color code and group sources but not scenes, some scenes play into each other (like a scene for JUST gameplay as opposed to a scene with a small webcam over the same gameplay), as such it'd be very convenient to group them together.
Shying Scenes/Sources (toggling their visibility in their respective menus) would also be very helpful for organization. Certain things don't really need to be messed with once they're set, and while locking them is helpful, getting them out of the way semi-permanently to make room for the things that DO need to constantly be accessed would be very nice. Adding a simple Shy button next to the eye and locking buttons in the Sources window as well as a toggle for the toggles set to Shy what I imagine would be the most effective way to incorporate such a feature. This applies to the Scenes menu as well.
These features may seem a bit niche but they're VERY important when it comes to specialized/advanced streaming, they'd make the overall process a lot easier.
Thank you for your reading this.
