HI, i'm new here.

Right now i use OBS a lot and i have to say it is really good BUT, there's something missing.
Lots of time when i'm recording videos i have to adjust the audio from all the application and gamesand it's useful have a "mini mixer" in OBS to lower the desktop audio but, if is possible, i wish the dev could build a mixer in OBS like the windows one, a volume bar for every application active, to make easier to set up and save hours of editing...

is that possible?

No, Windows does not provide the ability for programs that capture audio to adjust the volume of those programs individually in the capture. OBS can only capture audio devices, with whatever mix is being sent to them.

Thanks for answering me, but:
Why not? the ability to catch audio from application is exclusive to windows??? is a fuction that windows must provide? or maybe if i buy an external audio card change something?

Correct. Windows doesn't give external applications that ability. Only Windows itself can do that. If you want to know why Windows does that, I suspect you'll have to contact someone at Microsoft.

Oooh, what a shame. Was looking precisely for that feature because it is very difficult to handle the system and software recording levels separately. I can do it with a third party driver but still there are sounds that cannot be split from the "main" channel. :(

Back in the days of Win XP you could do that easily from the mixer switching between playback levels and recording levels. Easy and straight. I wonder why did they ripped off that feature.

Greetz.
