Falter/ Lag issues after reducing file size

Hi

Earlier today I found a thread here about changing your settings to reduce the file size (recording). I'm not experienced with OBS so I followed it. Recording something still works fine, but when I want to rewatch that content, it constantly lags & falters throughout the whole video, tried it multiple times.

Maybe I tried too much that it turned into a lag fest, even tho I followed what people said would be good. I do have to say my file size decreased immensely, now however its almost unwatchable.

Under here I'll be posting my own settings & maybe (hopefully) one of you more experienced people can & will assist me on this.

Thanks in advance & do let me know if u need more information.

Which video player are you using?
Try VLC player to watch mkv files.

Best results to get a good quality video is using the recommended settings using the Auto-configuration Wizard (tools menu) and then Simple Output mode selecting one of the presets. Test each one to see the results and if this isn't satisfactory you can mess with the advanced ourput mode. You can even test using 60fps if your computer can handle it.
