it's the classic "Failed to Start Recording" error, along with "if you are using NVENC or AMD encoders make sure drivers are up to date" stuff :/

my specs are:
AMD A9-9410 RADEON R5, 5 compute cores 2C=3G (2 CPUs), with 2.9GHz

8.0gb ram

AMD Radeon R5 Graphics with 4315 MB total mem. and 501 mb VRAM

and DX12

The GPU in your system doesn't support the AMD hardware encoder.

And you should change the color format in advanced settings back to nv12

Okay, I'm having exactly the same issues, which is why I came to this forum looking for help. Until yesterday everything was fine with OBS but I decided to take out the existing Graphics card (a crappy MSI unit) that came with this system when I bought it and replaced it with a mildly better EVGA GeForce GTS 550 that I had lying around. The performance on the graphics for my gaming improved markedly, but the downside is that I started getting the same error messages mentioned above regarding 'if you are using NVENC or AMD encoders make sure drivers are up to date'. I went to NVIDIA and updated everything, but it made no difference. Completed deleted OBS, including user preferences, but when I reloaded the software I still kept getting the same messages. I saw a point from someone about MP4 - is that an issue?

Could someone please point me in the right direction because I really am getting to like this program even though I'm fairly new to it.
