Bug Report Failed to recreate D3D11 Crash After Setting Browser Size

In the OBS app while setting up the browser source (which was working at the default values) I went to go set the browser size to 1920 (then by 1080 but didn't get that far) and the app crashed. The crash report said:

Failed to recreate D3D11: Failed to create input layout (80070057)

Upon restart, the app loads, (and I get an initial un-docked preview window) but then goes away. Something is keeping my camera on...but it is unclear if that is related. Note the same happens if click the `OBS Studio` icon.

Is there a way to edit the config files to remove the specific source so I can return to working or do I have to reinstall?

Upon un-install (and subsequent reboot) the app arose from the dead!

To be complete on this issue, once running I checked the settings of the `Browser` source, and it did take and subsequently saved my size settings before the crash(?).

I am just getting into this app/streaming and do not need the addon; seems its best to run w/o it. Thanks @Harold.

As an aside:

> People need to stop saving directly to mp4.

I was going to save to `.flv` because the production tool I use `Movie Studio Platinum 16` afaik does not handle the default output of `.mkv`/divx when pulling in video files. Unless you can advise saving to something different and more importantly as to why.

In OBS there's an ability to do a container swap from flv to mp4 (file - remux recordings)

The main two reasons to NOT save directly to mp4 are:
1> the big yellow warning you get when you choose mp4. If ANYTHING causes the mp4 to not finalize properly, the entire recording is LOST.
2> There are a number of editing software packages that have compatibility issues with files saved directly to mp4 in OBS.
