I've been searching Google for the last hour going through various troubleshooting steps, but I'm still stuck the the same issue - I get "Failed to initialize video. Your GPU may not be supported, or your graphics drivers may need to be updated." when trying to open OBS.

I've attached the log. I was just trying OBS for the first time and it has opened exactly once. Since then I have reinstalled OBS, updated my Nvidia drivers to current, one version previous, and a version from about a month ago. I am running OBS as admin. I've run Windows update and am current (but still on Windows 10). Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

You have installed the nvidia driver version 53742 but lates is 54617
Clearly outdated. Most probably corrupted on the important parts for OBS.
