Question / Help failed to initialize video: unspecified error

Hello All - (experienced with pre Studio software versions) Just installed 16.6 Studio (with both vcredist and directx). Install looked to complete normally, but upon launch get error message in title above.

Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit), Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop.

Where should I start looking to solve problem

P.S. since program doesn't start, can't create a log file to attach
 
Go to C:\Users\C-Dude\AppData\Roaming\obs-studio (replace C-Dude with your user)

There should be a file in the crashes folder.

Upload that.


Possible Fixes:
-You can try deleting the basic folder but that would remove your profiles and scenes (so you might want to back them up before deleting)
-Try reinstalling

Under \Roaming\ there is no folder for OBS, so can't upload logfile. Only folder under Roaming is Intel

Uninstalled, downloaded studio again, re-installed, same exact problem.

Is there anywhere I can download the old (non-studio) software, that is still working on my other computer.
