Question / Help Failed to initialise video

I tried to launch OBS for the first time on another computer and it gave me the message, "Failed to initialise video. Your GPU may not be supported, or your graphics drivers may need to be updated." How do I know which one is the reason?

OBS isn't able to find a GPU. This might be the result of not installing the proper GPU drivers, or the GPU not being supported, because it is too old.
Given the age of the CPU in your log (Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz), I assume it is the latter.

Don't spend time into trying to make this work. The CPU is not powerful enough to support any kind of useful recording or streaming anyway. You might be able to record Office applications with mostly still images, but recording movie-like footage as capturing a game will not work properly.

I see.
Would the setup still be able to be salvaged by adding a discrete GPU or would I be better off getting another PC?
