Question / Help Failed to create AAC encoder, any fix?

Hey guys so im trying to open OBS studio i just downloaded and the error its giving me is " failed to create AAC streaming encoder (simple output)" every time. What is the fix? ive tried doing some research and no luck

here is the thing, i can open OBS studio just fine and run it on the desktop computers. my buddy owns a LAN center and uses smart launch (hopefully you know what that is). the issue is when they put back the computers into smart launch mode (standard) you cant open obs. does that make any sense? also where can i get the logs at? the info you require

ok cool thanks but now the issue is we cant even get OBS STUDIO to open on the computer that has smart launch running. which is the default interface/system they use here at the LAN center. im with one of the owners right now and we are trying to get that fixed. getting the logs seems easy but we cant get obs to open on the pc with SL running. is there any other way to diagnose the issue or do you think Smart launch is interfering with OBS sutdio? another thing is they had the OBS classic working just fine with both off and on Smart launch. but we were doing mass updates today so we unlocked all PC's and updated OBS classic to OBS studio. now we cant open OBS STUDIO while smart launch is active

It may be an issue with its working path, but it usually doesn't complain about that specific thing...

There is a bug currently where OBS cannot find its files if you just run the program without a working directory. But if you help it along, it should be fine.

Solution #1 would be if you can just specify the working dir in that Smart Launch thing, like for a windows shortcut.
Solution #2 would be a workaround with cmd.exe
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "" /d "C:\Program Files (x86)\obs-studio\bin\64bit" "C:\Program Files (x86)\obs-studio\bin\64bit\obs64.exe"

Does that help?

So, I just Googled for an image of what it might look like.

Is this it?
sl.png

If that's it you should just be able to say
Executable Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\obs-studio\bin\64bit\obs64.exe
Working Directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\obs-studio\bin\64bit\

If that still doesn't work then the error is likely from something else. Report back if that's the case.

the main issue is that OBS works perfectly when the pc's are "unlocked" which is what we do when we do major updates etc. (unlocked meaning its on desktop normal mode like any pc would start up as)
as soon as we activate smart launch ( its a program most LAN centers use) then it gives me that error. we have tried multiple things including the suggested made by harold.

ok so we have tried that. seemed to not have worked. we are still brainstorming. is there a specific I.D for obs? or key of some sort? we have around 50 pc's here at the LAN center. all connected and controlled by our Main one up front. most if not all programs usually work and the old OBS classic worked. but for some reason OBS studio isnt. idk at this point im trying to put in perspective from all angles and possibilities

would there be anyway we can speak to someone verbally or perhaps over video to help us diagnose this issue? we are trying to get the LAN center up and running as far as OBS goes
