Fading end screen is jumpy in OBS recording

I record a Powerpoint slideshow running full-screen. At the end of the presentation, I have a black slide and use slide transition to achieve a fading end screen effect. This works flawlessly during the slide show. However, the effect is not smooth in the recording. It is like many frames are omitted. An example video is linked. I will very much appreciate a solution or a workaround.

Interestingly, the recording is flawless when using the lossless quality...

I also tried recording MP4 with 400,000 Kbs bitrate. The file size is almost as large as that of lossless quality (AVI). However, the glitch is present. It seems like there is some setting I am missing. What could it be?

The glitch was caused by using 4K. When I switched to 1080p, it disappeared. It looks like 4K isn't working. I might open a separate issue about this.
