Ive got the same problem, also getting the "failed to connect".
The reason here is a firewall in the network. I'st refusing the connection on non secured level RTMP (say it blocks streams going to Facebook on http/port 80)

Is there a way (Facebook supports this natively in their mobile app) to trick OBS to use the SSL method say via RTMPS https/port 443

That would solve my problem.
