Hi there, I would so love for OBS to work for me because it's amazing. However, I am having problems with the recording and a few other things. I have set it to keep recording as well as start recording as soon as it starts streaming. Yet the recording drops off all the time. I notice and I start the recording again, and next time I look it's stopped again.
The first time this happened, I assumed it was because I had changed the output to mp4 instead of flv. It's now changed back to flv, but it still won't work. The recording drops off very soon, and it never starts again.
Also, it flickers occasionally during the streaming, which is not great.
And another thing is that the sound of the person I'm interviewing often sounds very far away. In the Audio settings, the drop-down menu for the Desktop Audio Device is 'Disabled' and there's no other option there. I don't know if that matters.
I am on a MacBookPro running High Sierra 10.13.6. I have heard that OBS + Mac is not a great combination.
By the way – I am on 500mb symmetrical Fibre via LAN. Here's latest speed test with upload faster than download: https://www.speedtest.net/result/8037831569
