Hey guys,
Im using a USB 3.0 input from a video matrix, and i can see the preview in OBS, i can watch the crossfade in the video switching, everything works fine at first. When I go to Facebook Live to start my stream, the preview freezes in OBS. I no longer see the video switching, I cannot see the cameras move, nothing is working. Consequently, I get a single static image on my stream to Facebook as well.
Can anyone help me understand why the preview is freezing and how to prevent it in the future? I have a theory that Facebook Live is trying to compete with OBS to use the USB video feed. I have tried uninstalling the program, including the user settings, and reinstalling fresh. The issue still occurs. This is a new problem that did not exist last week.
For now, I've found a way to trick OBS into un-freezing the preview. I go into the settings for the source and change the resolution from "default" to "custom" then back to "default" and the preview comes back to life. This cannot be a permanent solution, though. Any help is greatly appreciated!
