Hi, Im battling with facebook live sound distortion. Im using blackMagic web presenter connected to a studio camera via HDMI.
The sound is received from a wireless mic which is connected to a sound desk (mixer) and then output into either camera or blackmagic box.
We have followed endless obs tutorials to set the correct settings for recording amd streaming.
We have input various filters and adjusted settings.
We have adjusted mic sensitivity in Obs aswell as on the PC.
When we speak softly, the sound is fine but when we speak normally, the sound is distorted.

Its quite an expensive wireless mic.
Are there settings or plugins that can be set to fix the distortion.

Thankyou

A wireless mic (what model are you using?) often has its own sensitivity in its receiver bodypack and a display (a level meter, or at least a clipping indication) that tells if there is distortion. That is the first place to look for such problems: talk normally with the mic and observe that volumes are not exceeded.

The next place to look for trouble is the "sound desk mixer" (what model is it?): there should be no excessive volume indications there.

The next place to look for trouble is the OBS mixer. First, make sure there are no filters active so you know they are not contributing to the problem. Just disable all audio filters (you don't need to delete them).

Then, observe the little input volume indicators that live to the left of the volume mixer bars: these dots should never light up in a white color, because that indicates that the mic is too loud for OBS.
