New OBS user here. Lots of YouTube videos and searching this site for answers. Originally set up Mac (Big Sur) with OBS 26.0.2 (64) and IShowUAudioCapture-1.0.4.dmg. Was streaming sound from video Media Source and also capturing my voice on my external (USB) Razer Seiren X through which external speakers are also connected. I am using OBS for Zoom webinars. In short, everything worked for a day.
Now my situation is my Media Source audio is streamed through Zoom (and locally, with Monitor and Output). Video works great, Scenes and Sources all fine. Except my external microphone.
OBS seems to see the microphone. I can see the audio levels respond to my voice and tapping on the mic. However, the mic sound is not transferred to Zoom.
(The mic works - if I tell Zoom to connect to the mic directly, it does without issue and sounds are fine. This is a bothersome workaround.)
My settings:
Mac Sound Output - "OBS Streaming" - the name of the Multi-Output Device I created in Audio MIDI Setup.
Mac Sound Input - "iShowU Audio Capture"
Using Sound Effects I can confirm output to "OBS Streaming" goes to both my speakers and Zoom. "iShowU Audio Capture" goes to Zoom only. (Setting it to my speakers only works correctly as well - even with my speakers routed through my microphone, which has been the case nearly all year.)
In OBS Settings Mic/Auxiliary Audio is set to Razer Seiren X (my USB microphone).
In OBS Settings Mic/Auxiliary Audio 2 is set to iShowU Audio Capture.
(I have tried leaving those disabled and adding Audio Input Capture sources for both; the result is the same).
In the Audio Mixer in OBS I see the levels for Mic/Aux respond to my voice, key typing, tapping on the mic. If I turn off the mic (it has a button) the levels disappear.
Nothing happens to the Media Source or Mic/Aux 2 levels until I play the Media Source. When I do, all 3 mixer items (Media Source, Mic/Aux, and Mic/Aux 2) respond to the audio in the media source.
The advanced audio properties settings are - Mono for Mic/Aux only; Monitor and Output for Media Source only. The others are Monitor Off.
The Current Log file (as OBS is running) is attached and available here: https://obsproject.com/logs/n8KDm4vP8ZaleReE
Any and all help appreciated - I'm new at this and really stuck despite many videos and searches that don't seem to reflect this exact problem. Thank you! - David
