Please give me ALL the details, I live for details! But keep in mind that I don't know much about how computer work internally!
Part 1:
I have a relatively small understanding of computers. Besides the RAM, I don't have a grasp on what makes for a speedy machine that produces smooth, lag-free videos. Please fill me in on ALL of the important specs, what they mean, how they affect performance, and what minimums I should look for.
Part 2:
Please let me know what I am capable of doing with my current computer and what my limiting factors are and why. I've tried multiple settings schemes that I've found around these forums, especially settings meant for lower-powered computers, but I'm still getting WICKED lag on my recordings - it literally, I'm not kidding, will freeze for 4 or 5 seconds at a time. The logs are mentioning rendering and encoding lag, but I don't know what else I can do to fix those.
A bunch of specs from my computer that may or may not be relevant:
System Type: x64-based PC
Processor: Intel Core i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz, 2904 Mhz, 2 Cores, 4 Logical Processors
Installed Physical RAM: 16.0 GB
Total Virtual Memory: 22.2 GB
Thanks for any advice/info you can give!
Also, the game in question is Minecraft. That's it, nothing else. I've been playing since Beta and decided to finally start video-documenting my escapades for the internet's potential enjoyment.
