Question / Help Experiencing major lack from recorded videos

Hey guys, just downloaded Open Broadcaster this week, after attempting to record a few of my online tv segments (Fox 17) I noticed the sound and video were lacking and not aligning properly pretty much ruining the recording.

I'm guessing something needs to be adjusted in the software settings?

Your CPU can't keep up with your settings. Try using QSV (Intel's hardware-based encoder called QuickSync) and see if that helps.

If you don't have access to QSV, you might need to update the drivers/BIOS on your computer and enable that option in the BIOS. Contact your system manufacturer for more info about QuickSync.

Oh wow thank you! Hmm is that free to download online and safe? Isn't BIOS in the boot menu? My IT skills are not up to par of late lol.

Do you have access to QSV in OBS? That's the first question that needs to be answered.
