Question / Help Existing Sources In Different Scenes

1: I have a source in Scene one.
2: If I add that source to Scene Two as an 'existing' source and resize or edit it in Scene Two will it effect the original source or should I add the source as a 'NEW' source if I intend to edit it ?

More simply put, are all changes global or individual?

I'm interested mainly in how this will effect images and Browser Sources.

Alt-cropping or transform cropping is individual/local to each instance of an existing source. Crop filters are global.
