Excel Dropdown menu

I like to record an excel page. But if I use the dropdown menus, you will not see that in OBS. Included a screenshot and the movie i recorded. I about 5 seconds in that movie you will see it happening. Hope someone can help me out. Many regards. Peter.

Due to how Excel is coded, you'll need to use a Display Capture to capture it correctly, rather than a Window Capture. Pretty much all of Office uses an annoying layered rendering technique that Window Captures can't capture.

Yeah, use a display capture and crop to your Excel window. Or maybe try the online, browser version of MS Office?

@FerretBomb Don't get too upset about Office using menus OBS is not being able to capture with window capture. Office is using the native menus that comes with Windows, and that's what 95% of all apps use. Only the menus of apps that do their own window drawing even for menus (for example Electron apps) can be captured with window capture. In my opinion, this is a flaw/missing feature of OBS, not a flaw of Office.
