Examples of great OBS videos

I'm looking for some really good examples, cool techniques etc all rolled into something watchable. i.e. not someone explaining how to do it, but showing it in practice, with some text written to explain what was going on.

Is there such a thing? My searching produces lots of "how to", but no "what for".

Thanks.

Thanks for the pointer.

What I'm interested in is live pop videos. Like:

https://youtu.be/k3CdVKqh-QU

Which I confess I made. I'm interested in discovering a palette of techniques to use in a live performance environment.

In that video, I screen grabbed different locations round the world, put them in a image library in OBS then scene switched between two cameras with a two second fade. The music was pre-recorded (by me) so you could argue it's karoke.

I've very interested in seeing other similar works. i.e. < 5 mins and with a live performance element.

Cheers!

Liked the video. My pointer is more about how to do scheduling, tips, tricks, etc on pre recorded material. entirely different from what you want.

There's many techniques, and I wouldn't disregard dealing with per-recorded material. It's my view that the times we're in are opening up new ways of expressing ourselves, and this is just the beginning.

I'd certainly appreciate a summary of your 9 page discussion. What can we learn?

If you're categorizing, organizing, librarianising (sp!), what does that mean for the practicing musician/artist, who will play/perform the same thing again and again and again to get it just right. Does it mean that all the world is always a stage... for them that want it to be?

I'd appreciate any lurkers chiming in with their great examples of OBS videos. I'd really like to see them.

Cheers!

It's about scheduling. People on the forum are interested in how to either schedule at a certain time or want to set up a Tv station. A sports or Church or local history channel come to mind. In the morning, I love to you tube educational material in a La carte manner. If you feel that national tv is going to die, then things like IPTV will fail also. I produced for a local public access cable channel, producing local material such as concerts, local cafe musicians, misc local interest pieces. Many artists can't produce their video, they are good at playing, not producing videos. A TV channel is good at highlighting local interest or even global issues. You have to think about your audience. Actually planning and running a popular and successful IPTV channel is an ART. I think that 24/7 broadcasts do have their audience but is mostly older people. But I could take a load of gamer videos and feature them at 9pm Saturday night and you would know to be there to watch something new. Why does MTV have channels on cable or you listen to the Pop 60's on radio. Sometimes you just want to have someone else chose material in a manner you like. ie. Playlists. So not all people are the same. Why you asked for why a artist would care, maybe exposure on a channel that features new artists.

Anyway, think not just about scheduling but compositing and prototyping. Another subject is file naming meta data. If you are looking to produce really good videos, you should use Premiere Pro to make them. If you want to do live stuff, then obliviously OBS is good but stream labs or vmix might be a better tool. Some of the techniques in scheduling, compositing and prototyping may be useful in a cross platform sort of way. Just my opinion and everyone has one.

Once in a while a thunderbolt hits me. Your comment about " categorizing, organizing, librarianising " stuck me that way. Sometimes someone will say something that makes a lot of sense. Anyway, you might add to the mix(LOL), is how to make an interesting video, not just the tools and techniques.

Well, I'm still searching for examples of live performance songs made with OBS.

You know, like a library where people can post stuff, discuss how OBS helped them make it.

Like this new one... (well, old really, very what I made in confinement, with OBS, a bit of Blender.)
