Hello, recently my computer installed and updated a driver for an AMD Radeon R9 M275x Graphics card that wasn't being used on a Lenovo Y40-70 laptop. I'm using it as a streaming PC and before i could use x264 and Quicksync with no issues until this thing installed. Some people said it was good, but i have had nothing but problems and i cannot seem to fix it. When i boot up OBS, the preview is constantly flickering and cannot get to 60FPS like it could before. I installed the latest drivers to see if that fixed it and it didn't. i even went to another forum post and downloaded AMD encoder file for OBS studio with no luck. nothing works and its getting frustrating. Most cases, OBS cannot even broadcast. When I hit the Start Streaming button, it either takes forever to stream (flickering included) or just immediately crash.. Please help!

With Nvidia cards, through thier control panel, you make OBS run on it.
AMD Cards should have same option via their control panel,

If you wish to have OBS Studio run on the integrated GPU instead of the more powerful dedicated GPU (for whatever reason), you can do so in the Radeon Additional Settings: https://community.amd.com/docs/DOC-1581

Keep in mind that this may have a negative impact on your experience:
  • AMD Hardware Encoding may no longer work correctly.
  • OpenCL support may no longer work correctly due to Intels runtime being broken (affects x264 opencl and AMD Hardware Encoding).
  • Game Capture may have to fall back to memory capture instead of shared texture capture if the game is running on the dedicated gpu.
