Our high school has been doing its best with what they had. The PBP and color guys are really good but that's about it. So, I'm working with them (volunteer basis) to make the stream better and more professional. I've had no problems with most of what I want to do but there's a specific application I can't figure out.

Currently, the stream has a text scroll at the bottom of the screen but it is very basic (using the built-in text scroll feature), formatted poorly, and the speed makes reading it difficult. So, I want to give that an upgrade and mimic something similar to a broadcast tv game where they put scores and other news at the bottom of the screen. I understand there is expensive software behind that overlay but I don't need anything nearly as complicated and it would only be news and announcements (no scores). I have some ideas on how to get it to work but I just can't seem to get past the last little step to make the magic happen.

Here's a mockup of what I have so far.

The WBN is what I'm calling a "label" and would have multiple labels for each sport or for the school. The other text I'm calling "content". I'm using nested scenes where the sub-scenes contain a Label and Content, then a top-level scene that contains all the sub-scenes. If new Labels and Content are needed, the sub-scenes can just be duplicated and added to the top-level scene. The top-level scene is then used as a Downstream Keyer so that it overlays on the main stream.

What I'd like to see happen is a rotation of the sub-scenes on a timer. If the Label is for the same sport, it should stay in place and only change if the Content is for another sport. I'm using the Move Transition (Exeldro GOAT) to handle this. Where I'm struggling is how to make this happen automatically on a timer. The Advanced Scene Switcher looks to be the best way to handle it but I just don't "get it" at the moment. I'd also only need it to do the transitions within the top-level scene so that it doesn't affect anything else.

Any suggestions on how to set this up? I'm open to other ways to make this happen as well. . .
