I just installed the recent drivers.
Game Bar is OFF.
Right GPU is selected not that all the GPUs are shown like they should be but that is another problem.
I can not start recording.
It worked a while ago.

I just updated the drivers and OBS.
Regression or Bug?
I will investigate Windows Updates in the mean time.

So I installed a codec pack because the log said AAC support was missing.
But it still doesn't work. Will restart and update Windows

I tried to run as admin on the recent version to no avail.
I downgraded OBS to 29.1.3 and it still doesn't work.

It seems to be still trying to use AMF on an unsupported device.
The AMD 590 should support other hardware aceleration and even when i chose those that did not require AMF on the recent OBS version 30.2.3 it did not work.
Driver issue with most recent drivers?
Well the most recent drivers don't support the 590 so I had to install older ones too but those were the last to support the 590.
How can I fix this mess.
It worked at some point.

The fix was easy.
Just go to the device manager.
Uninstall the AMD RX6600 driver in the device manager.
Search for changed hardware afterwards.
Disable the RX6600.
Install the driver "whql-amd-software-adrenalin-edition-24.9.1-win10-win11-vega-polaris.exe" dunno if it works with more recent drivers that way maybe you can test that.
It worked after the restart.

Hope that helps somebody else too.
