Error message: "make sure you're using a recording path which your user account is allowed to write to"

I've been using OBS for years now. I just tried to record my screen and got the above-mentioned error. I searched around the internet and YouTube but nothing helps. I've just uninstalled and re-installed OBS to my PC [Windows 7Pro]. Strange, with the new install, the old settings showed up as far as advanced settings and my output folder! Why would that be with a fresh install? Anyway, I still get the error message with the new install.

What else can I try?

I solved it by re-setting OBS to default settings. This is an excellent short video how to do that.
