Epoc Cam Pro USB Connection cuts out mid stream

I bought the Pro version of Epoc Cam as I'd heard that it was very good for the price. In OBS before streaming, it looks very good with a USB connection, no lag or anything. However, when I am streaming it begins to lag as if it was a WiFi connection after a little while and eventually disconnects. Does anyone know why that is?

What version of macOS are you running? What platform is your machine (Intel or M1)?

With Apple's USB-C to USB-A + HDMI dongle, my Elgato CamLink does the same thing on my M1 MacBook Pro with Big Sur 11.1. With it plugged into the USB port on my ThunderBolt dock, it works just fine.

It (the CamLink) also works fine on my 2015 MacBook Pro running Catalina; that machine has two native USB-A ports and no need for the dongle.

(I honestly don't know if it's the M1 hardware, Big Sur, the dongle, or the combination of them all that causes the problem.)
