Question / Help Epihpan 4k and Audio Issue OBS 18

Hey guys,

Having an issue with my Epiphan 4k usb video grabber and OBS. I thought I had solved the problem but it suddenly began happening today. It happens both when recording, and while just having OBS open. After some time, the audio channel for the capture randomly cuts out. The important part is this doesn't happen when using a couple other capture software they recommend trying, or while monitoring the capture card without OBS open. I noticed the audio cuts out right after the log says its buffering the audio.

Any help or input would be great.

Edit: I originally used a Razer Ripsaw (worked fine, had color issues), upgraded to this about a month ago. I have until April 4th to return this, if someone thinks I should just go Elgato HD60 PRO or the Magewell xi100 version of this grabber

Just a quick update. I rolled back to 17.0.0 (Epiphan recommended this a month ago) and it still has buffering, this time as far as I can tell up to 192milliseconds, but the audio doesn't drop out.

EDIT2: I updated back to 18.0.1 without uninstalling and it no audio drop out. I'm mostly concerned that this will continue to happen with my current Video Grabber, and am thinking of switching to a Magewell but am unsure if this problem will continue to exist on that as they both are UVC and UAC devices.
