EOS issue...

... Sorry but I'm new to all of this. Software not recognizing my EOS Rebel T6, it displays a USB cable with a red "X".
The camera is connected to the iMac (Ventura 13) with the USB-B cable included with the camera.
The latest EOS WebCam Utility is installed (I do not have a subscription).
I had no issue with connecting my iPhone or iMac.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Start with Operating System level connection. Can you use Canon camera and EOS webcam util in other applications? I suspect you probably can't and has NOTHING to do with OBS Studio. Also, You may need to check that you have granted OBS Studio Operating Sytem permission to access EOS webcam

I don't know if this will help, but I often have to open up another application that runs the camera normally first before opening OBS.
So I open Discord first since it already works with my cam. I go to the cam test in the settings, turn on test, then back out of settings.
Then I open up OBS and it works without having to change anything.

If no other application is picking up your camera, then I'm not too sure what to suggest.
