Question / Help Entry point not located.....new to obs

So I'm new to obs and I can't get it to work on Windows 8.1 I get an error when trying to add game capture and pick a window it says

"entry point _except1 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\program files (x86)\obs-studio\data\obs-plugins\win-capture\graphics-hook32.dll"

I have tried the following:
Turned off all Antivirus/firewalls - nope
Tried to update obs - nope
Run everything as admin - nope
Installed windows updates- nope
Reinstalled after restarting pc -nope
Reinstalled after deleting everything - nope
Reinstalled after RESTORING my pc - nope

This is very frustrating because no one has a post that can help me I've tried and tried and finally made am account just to post please help me

Tried reinstalling the vs2013 runtimes as well?

No I don't really know what your talking about lol

what are you trying to add through the game capture option? If it is a capture card or webcam or if you are just trying to capture your display, those are all under different sources and may solve your problem.

for capture cards and webcams it is under video capture device and display capture is under the display capture source.

If you don't have a device and just want to capture your entire screen just go to the display capture tab under the plus icon in sources and choose your screen

Yes I'm just trying to record game play of lol so I need to capture the whole screen? That doesn't seem to work I get a black screen

Sorry lol I start the recording in obs and I see like 1000 windows then I alt tab to league play a few stop the recording and then playou it back I get the 1000 windows then black screen

If it outright didn't work, you wouldn't be the only person getting the error you're getting.

Thanks so much guys I believe the install of visual c was the issue and it's now recording!!
