Question / Help enconding overload

I don't really understand
I tried to stream yesterday but I faced problems
my twitch stream was buffering and it was laggy whereas the game is fine on my computer. The stream was unstable
my obs said it was an encoding overload and I should try to reduce the video settings but I do not know what that means
its said I should try a faster encoding prefix

is there anything I can to fix this issue. I don't really understand most of these thing because am new

Edit: I try today my connection was good still the game is laggy on stream

Update to the latest OBS and stream at a lower resolution, then post a new log file from a five minute or longer stream.

ok though am pretty lost on how to update it
should I just download all the flies like that?
