Question / Help Encoding with GPU or CPU or both???

so to be fast I have an older pc i5 4460 and 8gig ram and a gtx 960 that I want to stream on with both my and my wife's pc's....
My main is a 7700k 1080ti 32gig ram. My wife's is a 4790k gtx 1070 16gig ram...

We are thinking about using NDI to start but if we don't like the quality change to capture cards.

Ok the question is what would be better for encoding to twitch GPU (gtx960) or CPU (i5-4460) or could I use both on obs????

Best quality is always x264, however it takes a huge chunk of CPU. If you want to have no CPU impact while streaming, use NVENC or QuickSync.
