Question / Help Encoding overloaded while having high bitrate on Nvenc

I recently have this daunting issue, when streaming I use the dual streaming setup: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/guide-two-pc-configuration-without-capturecard.6757/
And with that concept I went off and got myself a dual xeon rig with enough power to ever take on what I throw at it.
but now and then OBS now says Encoder overloaded Please set a lower preset, and well that is unnecessary because of the bitrate used.

these are the settings, and I don't know why I get the sudden encoder overload for no reason.

23:45:31.769: ┃ ┣download_frame: min=0 ms, median=0.002 ms, max=43.181 ms, 99th percentile=22.992 ms

It's taking 23ms to download the frame from the video card. nvenc may not be suitable.

23:45:31.568: Output 'adv_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 3745 (8.1%)

You're falling victim to the Windows 10 driver bug that degrades performance on OBS when GPU usage is high enough.

You kidding me? really now why should I ever disable that for good performance tho, also I have set the game to one GPU in nvidia settings.
I will try but I already have the game set to run on one GPU, because the game that is streamed is not really great with SLI so I don't see the necessity for it.
I tried the quick-sync also and well that has the same issue.
for other games I had other issues but that is for a other thread.

Why should you ever use SLI in a setup where you only have 16 pci-e lanes?

Did you try with only one card installed?

One of the most common causes of your problem IS using two video cards on a cpu with only 16 pci-e lanes.

Dude that PCI-E 3.0 Lanes are way more then enough also you are talking trash, it is not the CPU's fault I have streamed this way for a lot longer then you know without issues so far.

So saying that that is the problem is just sooooooo untrue, the CPU I Use is good enough for a SLI system and it is not bottlenecked in any way on the moment.
X8 on each GPU is on the speed PCI-E 3.0 Gives is more then enough.

Also recommending users to remove GPU's is not a good advice to be honest with you.

The only Bottleneck I had with Warframe is the game optimization itself and this is off topic tho.
And the other games well that is with Elite dangerous and the game capture with SLI systems is still broken.

I Was kinda blown away that this issue suddenly happened when streaming and it is really annoying.
This happened way after the AU update of Windows so IDK what is going on now again, I never had that MSG before coming in the OBS window until I posted this thread.

I hope I can get it fixed and working again I'll try the non multi adapter because the game is running on one GPU anyways.

And yet the log you've been giving is saying that 8x PCI-E 3.0 lanes are NOT enough to run both the game AND OBS' scene composition.

This is NOT the first time I've seen a video card running in x8 mode having this problem, and it definitely won't be the last with the increase in resolutions and framerates people are trying to use.

Right man, well just saying I guess it was a fluke now because the problem that arose is now gone, also the PCI-E lane problem you address is was a thought that arose to me before but as with experience before it did just worked normally without issues so that is my 2 cents on that.

IDK what the problem was but it seemed that it just solved itself, if this will arise again I will give more logs and see if it could be the same problem, I think it had to do with a random stream lingering around in the background of youtube running in chrome because I checked now and well no problems at all either which setting used.

I can guess it has to do with HTML5 and hardware acceleration or something else, if this is the case is it best to disable the hardware acceleration of chrome? And yes I know that running chrome in the BG is not the best idea ever, but it is till now not effecting my streaming capabilities without periodical stuttering parts in the stream.

As a recap on the problem I have to investigate more if this arises again and will post further.
