Question / Help Encoding Overloaded w/ OBS Studio BUT not with OBS Leagacy

Hello, Recently I've been noticing a problem on my OBS Studio.
I've been streaming some more of "high end" games (Just Cause 3, H1Z1...) other than my usual (Team Fortress 2, Capture Card (Wii U), GTA V... ) and I've been having massive jittering (in the stream) and "Encoding Overloaded" Problem while doing so - In the game though, there were no fps troubles (in some cases above 60).
When I switched back to my old OBS (Same settings as my OBS Studio) I had no jittering / fps problems in the stream.
My buddy is having sort of the same problem on a-bit of a lower-powered rig than mine.
I would like some help resolving this issue since I really enjoy streaming using OBS Studio.

-Note: turning on Vsync in Just Cause 3 seemed to fix (sort of) the problem I had with this game, although the frame rates were terrible..., Using OBS Leagacy with no Vsync seemed to have no problem what-so-ever.

Thanks for any help! :)

The bulk of the problem comes from getting the frame from the video card to the encoder. What pci-e mode is the video card running in?

If I'm not wrong, it is the pci-e x16 slot on my motherboard (MSI Gaming 5)

*As specified in AIDA64 & HWiNFO: PCIe v3.0 x16 (8.0 GT/s) @ x16 (8.0 GT/s)

Hmm, probably, Because the issue never happened before. Shall I try installing older version of the drivers?

had the same problem.
remember the board is sharing the lanes. so if you are using any other pcix device your card may run in x8 mode

i had a pcix1 sound card. i threw it away and now using the onboard sound.

Don't have anything else on the board, so I'm not sure about that. also my GPU never did any kind of problems to me...

Apparently, It does seem to be some-kind of a problem with the drivers, I've downgraded to 365.19 and some of the problems I had seem to be gone!, I've also placed a 60fps limiter on some games, Seems to be smoothing things out. -Insert wow face here-

Anyways, I think I'll return to OBS Studio now (also changing the CPU Preset helped a-bit) since the capture is finally smooth again :D

I do really appreciate Harold's comment about the drivers, seemed to have fixed the problem I had.

Thanks again!

P.S - how do I close this thread now?...
