1. The new Windows 10 Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling ("HAGS") added with version 2004 is currently known to cause performance and capture issues with OBS, games and overlay tools. It's a new and experimental feature and we recommend disabling it via these instructions.
2. Enable Game Mode via the Windows 10 "Settings" app, under Gaming > Game Mode.
3. One of your audio devices has a sample rate that doesn't match the rest. This can result in audio drift over time or sound distortion. Check your audio devices in Windows settings (both Playback and Recording) and ensure the Default Format (under Advanced) is consistent. 48000 Hz is recommended.
OBS Sample Rate: 48000 Hz
Headset Earphone (3- Astro A50 Voice): 48000 Hz
Headset Microphone (3- Astro A50 Voice): 16000 Hz
Headphones (3- Astro A50 Game): 48000 Hz
4. Your log contains no recording or streaming session. Results of this log analysis are limited. Please post a link to a clean log file.
To make a clean log file, please follow these steps:

1) Restart OBS.
2) Start your stream/recording for at least 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Send that link here.

Not sure what the deal is with OBS right now... I'm sure it's something I overlooked... I usually have no issues, but since this last update at the beginning of this year... I can't stream at all... 1700 kb/s tops

Thank you for any help

1. Enable Game Mode via the Windows 10 "Settings" app, under Gaming > Game Mode.
2. Uncheck the boxes for Look-ahead and Psycho Visual Tuning. These use additional GPU.
3. Uncheck the box for Enable Browser Source Hardware Acceleration (Advanced Settings)
4. Cap your games at 120 FPS.

Without any game running, ONLY OBS, and switched everything in game mode... and in obs... even dropped all video settings to low settings... still the same result...

so, after sitting down for a minute and thinking about it I opened up my Killer Wi-Fi app and found that OBS and SLOBS needs to be number one priority on the prioritization dashboard. Anything lower than that cuts down the bitrate.
I would assume that any other prioritizing app like Killer or Razer should be checked also

Problem solved, crisis averted

hi there can i jump in here? i am having the same issue message
Encoding overloaded! Consider turning down video settings or using a faster encoding preset.
i have seen it is caused by cpu choking but i have resmon and task manager open on my other monitor and cpu usage is not above 50ish%, i have uploaded the latest log file after playing for a bit, 7 mins or so,
any help appreciated, i just got past the extreme lagging juddery recording and want to use the 60fps instead of gamebars 59.7fps i did use the set up wizard and it was high quality/medium size, this log file is just after restarting obs to be hopefully cleaner/easier to read/help
again any help would be really appreciated

update:- still happened and just reviewing a game recording and found a blocky section in some action so trying 1444 as RGB doesn't seem to have the quality, wondering as youtube will use their own compression/quality whether to just use gamebar at "60"fps as it is easier and has none of the issues i am getting with obs :(
