Apparently, I have started to have problems with encoding lag, and its actually a fairly recent problem because I never experienced it before the latest two or three streams. OBS has started to drop frames here and there. Mostly during loading screens in Skyrim.
I am willing, ofc, to adjust my settings to accomodate any demands of the system, however, I do find this whole thing bizarre as I have just bought a new computer that is supposed to be able to handle relatively high CPU usage without that much difficulty for the express purpose of handling streams.
I am posting a link to my log file from the latest stream I did on Thursday (which turned out to be especially laggy, you can see the recorded stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/144892533) and hope that someone can maybe point me in the right direction regarding what I am doing wrong or what needs to be adjusted.
Its not really that big of a problem (yet!) because so far it has mostly occured during loading screens, but judging from the last stream, which got choppy even during gameplay at certain points (for instance, at 01:02:00), I feel this needs to be adressed.
My estimated download speed (based on what my isp is telling me and also based on various speedtests on the net) is 100 Mbps and upload is at 10 Mbps. I have no third party firewalls that I know of, only the windows firewall which is always on but has never caused me trouble before. My connection is not wireless.
I did try to use the "fast" setting in the encoding options once, playing around a little and trying to improve quality, but switched back to "veryfast" when it didn't seem to improve it that much. That was around the time when the encoding lag problems started. Profile is set to "High"; don't know if that has anything to do with it.
