Question / Help Encoding error when using AMD encoder and x264 is super laggy/unusable.

I am using Windows 10 pro on a 2018 iMac Intel i5-7400 CPU
7.9 gigs of usable ram out of 8, Radeon Pro 555. I have all drivers up to date. OBS doesn't want to let me use my graphics card to encode so I'm stuck using x264 which is laggy and no matter what I do to mess with settings so far it always gets the encoder overload error. I am trying to record Beamng.drive which is fairly demanding game. Is my hardware too weak for this? I am pretty new to this type of thing and I'm not sure what to do. I've included the log for the AMD error because i'm at an apparent impasse with x264. I know you probably have heard this problem on e million times but I really did try my hardest to fix it with the threads that already exist to no avail. Thanks in advance.

I have a similar issue. I have been using the AMD encoder for a long time now and have never had an encoding issue with it. Now, if I use the settings (including the AMD encoder) that I had before, even on CBR with 5000 bitrate (use to do 25000+), I get the encoding overload message. I have posted a thread here just yesterday, but gotten no replies thus far. I will be sure to continue researching and I will let you know if I do find a solution or get an answer.

Good luck.
