Encoder issue?

Hi,

Im looking forward to move from SLOBS to OBS as OBS is Open Source. I'm facing an issue with video quality.

I set the same settings which i could change and my video is coming out pixilated. In Slobs the encoder is set to x264 but in OBS for MacOS the default is libx264 something.

Could it be that the encoder is the reason for the pixilated outcome from OBS?

The encoder shouldn't be the reason for a pixelated output. If anything, your bitrate is way too low if its pixelated. Change that by going Settings/Output and changing the Video Bitrate. Don't set it too high, or your encoder will overload. If you want a recommendation on which encoder to use, use a hardware encoder such as Apple's H.264 encoder.
