Question / Help Encoder for Local recordings.

I was recently looking through OBS Studio advanced settings and I noticed there were two different encoding settings.

I was wondering will the AMD VCE actually do anything? And if so what does it do

Should I just stick with normal x264?

I was planning on making the highest quality videos I can.

the highest quality you can get is lossless.

use x264 with parameter
qp=0 preset=ultrafast
to activate lossless mode.
notice that not all editing tools can handle this.
for compatibility use qp=1 instead of 0.
this isnt lossless but very close to.
also remember the filezize will be vrery large and u need a fast hdd
