I was wondering if OBS has planned on fixing the stuttering issues explained here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lo9odqWD0g

I have the Elgato HD60 pro card in my streaming machine, and if i select the elgato card directly it give a "frame jump" every 5 second or so..
Selecting it to grab "monitor" as he describe in this video works though.

But i cannot see why the OBS software when using direct input get that lagg???

Is this being investigated as a known issue by the OBS team?

That video didn't really do a very good job explaining the issues. Also, that video is using OBS Classic, which isn't supported anymore.

There aren't any know Elgato performance issues that I know of, as long as your Elgato drivers are up to date. If you're still having issues, you will need to start by posting a log.

I had the problem with the OBS versions up to ...and uncluding the just previous version.
Today when i started it there was a new version 19.0.2, and I tested it again, and now the stuttering is GONE, we can use "Video Capture Device" directly with Elgato without stuttering.

I know a lot of people have had this problem, so i highly encourage peeps to upgrade to 19.0.2 (or newer) as it seems to fix the stuttering problem when using Elgato input stream from Video Capture Device as source.

Question, i see that OBS is using all cores of my streaming machine. How is performance on these new AMD Ryzen CPU's for use in a streaming machine. Is it good with OBS compared to say i7 which has 4 cores?
