Question / Help Elgato HD60S is plugged in correctly, but I'm getting no audio from my PS4, only video.

This is an extremely weird issue and I can't seem to fix it. Basically my Elgato is plugged in correctly with the HDMI In going to the PS4, the HDMI Out going to the TV, and the USB going to the laptop. I'm getting crystal clear video, but no audio. The only "audio" I'm getting is what can be attributed to sounding like "radio static". This is an overall issue with my OBS audio, so its not just while recording. Even when I'm not recording no audio is coming through the console to OBS.

And to be clear, I don't have any mics or headsets lugged into the PS4. I'm well aware that audio will not get sent to the PC/laptop if a mic is plugged into the console. I also don't have the Elgato Game Capture software apps from the Elgato website on my laptop anymore, which I know can interfere with OBS, so I don't understand what the issue is.

You've configured your Elgato to not capture audio:

19:28:06.385: [DShow Device: 'Video Capture Device'] settings updated:
19:28:06.385: video device: Game Capture HD60 S (Video) (#01)
19:28:06.385: video path: \\?\usb#vid_0fd9&pid_005e#06151a27c5#{65e8773d-8f56-11d0-a3b9-00a0c9223196}\{6f814be9-9af6-43cf-9249-c0340100021f}
19:28:06.385: resolution: 1920x1080
19:28:06.385: fps: 29.97 (interval: 333667)
19:28:06.385: format: YV12
19:28:06.397: using video device audio: no
19:28:06.397: separate audio filter
19:28:06.397: sample rate: 0
19:28:06.397: channels: 0
19:28:06.397: audio type: DirectSound

Turn device audio on in the properties of your video capture source, and set audio type to Capture Only.

I don't know how, but sometime after I made this post I managed to fix the problem on my own by messing with some of the options in the Elgato game/sound capture apps (I re-downloaded them).

I'm currently having another issue altogether, the latest update seems to have broken OBS. OBS literally cannot capture the game screen anymore, even though OBS was working perfectly before this update.

Edit: I don't know if these Logs are going to help or not but here https://obsproject.com/logs/w9ky-BGYnkBzRNwV
