Question / Help Elgato HD60S freezing and causing OBS studio to crash

So I don't know what's wrong, but I tried streaming last night and I noticed at random my HD60 S will just freeze. Now when I close OBS studio and restart it, OBS will crash.

I don't know what's causing it because it didn't do this before, this also happens on Xsplit, and it doesn't happen in the elgato software.

My PC specs are:
i7-6850K
GeForce GTX 1080
64GB DDR4 Ram

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Elgato software, and made sure everything was up to date. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having a similar problem, and just posted a thread about it to. When you try to reopen OBS, does it say that the ElGato is in use by another program?

The same exact thing is happening to me. What are the odds? I guess the only difference is that it crashes whenever I try to adjust the resolution.

Seems like something with the driver from Elgato, do they have a newer driver for the card you can perhaps upgrade to? Otherwise uninstalling the driver (if you have the the most current) and reinstalling the device again might do the trick.
Since you have the same problem in Xsplit it doesn't seem to be OBS software related.
