Hi everyone

I received my Elgato HD60 S today and was going about setting it all up, but I can't get the HD60 S working with OBS Studio.

When I add video capture device and chose the Elgato, the picture shows up, but it's just a screengrab from the moment the capture card was initalised. Nothing else happens.

When I click on preferences the settings window from the Elgate sometimes shows up, sometimes not. It's always set to Xbox One though, even though I have a Wii U (changing this doesn't help).

The only time when I saw a moving picture was when I chose Elgato Video Helper Device instead of the Elgato HD60 S. But the settings there look pretty wierd, as video signal can only be chosen NTSC, PAL or SECAM, which doesn't make any sense as that's all analog and the Elgato doesn't even feature analog inputs.

The Elgato does, however, work with the Stream Command software. But since I have everything set up in OBS I'd much prefer to keep using OBS.

The only issue I can think of is that it says HD60 S needs 64bit, and OBS Studio is only available in 32bit.

Just to be certain you need Windows 10 x64 as your operating system for the HD60 S which I believe you do have since you mentioned it works with Stream Command software

You definitely do have both x86 and x64 versions of OBS Studio installed, if its not on your Start Menu then please check here and make a desktop shortcut from it: C:\Program Files (x86)\obs-studio\bin\64bit\obs64.exe

Then after using the x64 version go add a new Video Capture Device, on Device you should see the other elgato option - make sure its not Elgato Video Helper Device
