Ive never had this before, but My elgato records my xbox series x game footage, and on my old laptop with near perfect audio quality, only reason I got a new one was because it had low capabilities. Now that ive gotten this new one, its put a permanent noise cancellation on it, and only audio i hear is characters talking in the game. The only difference i noticed is my new laptop has an audio encoder, AAS. Any help?

Windows is meant for business, not media. Business meetings need that exact processing, so it's on by default. And the setting is buried to prevent a nosy manager from messing with it, thinking he's "doing something productive", and then complaining that his meeting was ruined.

Dig through Windows' settings, and your audio driver, and anything else you might have, find all of the processing, and turn it all off. Outside of OBS.

Ive searched services, the control panel, all of it. Its either turned off now, or is still suppressing normal sound effects. Its worth noting i have a Usb mic also plugged in and its not receiving this treatment

OBS also has a Noise Suppressor filter. It's not on by default, but if you added it and forgot...
