Hi everyone, could really use some help! skipping and choppy.

Im using a Wii plugged into the Elgato using Wii2Hdmi, which is then plugged into the Elgato, then monitor
I've messed around with the quality on the elgato side but still not helping.
any help would be appreciated.
changing the resolution on obs seems to make a diffrence but it still skips like hell.
