Question / Help Elgato Audio and Desktop Audio Split

Misfit Disaster

So I promise this hasn't been an issue for weeks since I initially got my streaming set up how I wanted it.
So I am using an Elgato HD60 from my Xbox One to my PC. That brings in my game audio. Perfect.
Then I have my audio from my computer and my game coming through an Aux cable from my monitor to my PC.
I have been listening to my game audio by plugging my headset into my Blue Yeti and seeing it as my default Speaker. Which works great because I can min monitor so I don't scream. Yay!

BUT now all of a sudden in OBS tonight my Game Audio is showing up in my "Desktop Audio" channel as well as my "Game Capture Device" channel. And I want only the PC audio to come in by itself without my game audio. So when I load the Xbox Live app I can set my party chat audio separate.

Anyone have any thoughts how to accomplish this?

I had your issue as well, the reason I found your article was because I was searching for a solution.
What I found out was my fix was the desktop audio properties in OBS were set to my Yeti Mic speakers as well, and by changing that to "Speakers (Elgato Sound Card)" Seemed to separate my Streaming PC's audio from my Gaming PC's audio.
So I know have 3 separate audio devices
- Audio Input Capture -> set as "Microphone (Yeti Stereo Microphone)"
- Desktop audio -> set as "Speakers (Elgato Sound Card)"
- Elgato -> Which is the video capture device, and the audio output mode is set to "Capture audio only"
I hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Note: This setup works for my dual streaming PC, and when I switch to my Nintendo switch.
I also have the audio connection between devices using HDMI cables and nothing else. (The Gaming PC does have VAC installed and configured)
