Question / Help El Gato HD60 Video Skipping

I recently set up a dual PC stream (1 gaming PC, 1 stream laptop) and am using an El Gato HD60 to capture my main display to my laptop. The gameplay that is being captured is skipping every few seconds and I can't figure out why. I tried changing my capture resolution to 720p from 1080p but I still get the same issue. None of the rest of the components (Webcam, scrolling text, etc) are skipping and the gameplay on the gaming PC is perfectly smooth, which leads me to believe the issue is with the HD60. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix? I've posted a link to a clip I took from my stream showing the skipping video every few seconds.

My theory is this is because the HD60 uses USB 2.0. I would upgrade to HD60 S, but I don't have USB 3.0 capability on my streaming laptop. My gaming PC has a HD60 Pro, would running an HDMI from my GPU to the HD60 Pro and capturing this way reduce the load on my gaming PC if I were to use 1 PC to do the stream and games? I started out using just the 1 PC (putting the entire load on my GPU), but I've had to reduce the video settings drastically both in game and on OBS to do this without unbearable lag.

Swexler,

I had probably a similar issue, but with a Magewell USB capture card instead of the El Gato. My solution was to go into your Capture card properties within OBS and disable Buffering (Mine was at Auto as default). After I did this, I had no more skipping.
