hello everyone, im new to using the el gato hd60 in obs, i usually use the xbox app to get my game and audio in but i cant do that with the ps4 obviously. i nevr experienced any lag of any kind with xbox streaming.
so when i use the HD60 video capture device inside OBS i have my settings set to ps4, 1280x720, 30fps, 2000bitrate, 300download speed, and 25 upload. the el gato setting are the same. even when im not recording or streaming the picture inside of OBS freezes every 5-7 seconds for about 1 second. it does the same thing when i record as well. i tried both obs studio and classic and its the same issue, i tried USB 3.0, 2.0, 1.0 every time same issue. yet when i open up the el gato software it has no pauses or lag. i have been streaming with monitor capture or window capture lately but i dont like it because the audio is off for my ears by 1 second so when i shoot in game " sounds and looks good for the stream" i dont hear the gun fire for a second or 2 after and it bugs me.my cpu is running at around 10-20% with just obs with the el gato in video capture and still lags.when i window / monitor capture having both programs running my cpu reaches 50-70% and the stream chat says the are getting lag. im in a lose lose situation right now. if anyone could provide any help i would appreciate it .
