Question / Help El Gato HD 60 Crashes OBS Studio and OBS

So I'm on Windows 7, intel I5, 16 gb ram, and using an El Gato HD 60, and for a while, it worked great and I there were no problems. Then, in about February, my OBS Studio would auto-crash every time I opened, not knowing what to do, I reinstalled it and it turns out the El Gato being used as a video capture device would crash studio. So I tried regular OBS, same thing. Neither program produces a crash log when they crash, and when they do occasionally, its blank. On both Xsplit and the standard El Gato program it works, but Xsplit is a greater resource hog, and the El Gato program is lacking in features, so I'd prefer not to use them. Any idea what this could be? I've tried installing the newest drivers for the El Gato and uninstalling and reinstalling both the OBS's and El Gato's software.

Talking with the El Gato support which has had me reinstall all my nvidia and el gato drivers but has resulted in nothing as the problem still remains

I know it is taking a leap of faith, but trust me ( yes), you're better of picking up a capture card from b&m.
I got avermedia cards, elgato & b&m, 7 total, While i can get the stuff to work without hickup on avermedia it still requires work around (slot must be dedicated, driver demands free irq access on non shared slot (usb3/ or pcie doesnt matter), elgato cards can't be worked around currently because of the driver itself. And even tho same can be said for avermedia, that the driver there also sucks it can be worked around. With black magic, i had zero issues day one. And they post constant updates to their software. They mean business. So should you.

So for those of you having a similar problem somewhere down the line, the problem lies with not having aero enabled. So here's methods to fix it if its not working: Firstly, just go to personalize and try the trouble shooter in regards to aero. Go to your monitor settings through your graphics card control panel, mine is Nvidia. Go to the monitor and make sure its set to 32 bit color. Then, make sure you're using an aero theme, if you don't have a transparent task bar, then one step further. Go to start, type in services.msc, go to Desktop Window Manager Session Manager, restart it, and go to properties and make sure it automatically starts on startup. You may have to restart your computer for this fix to work. If aero still isn't working I don't know what to tell you, but that's likely the cause of the OBS crash with El Gato HD60 set as a source.
